  • Detail

At present, the Middle East has begun the second wave of oil refining capacity expansion in recent years, and this batch of projects will be put into operation gradually before 2020. Previously, the Middle East has just experienced a round of oil refining capacity expansion, and the future projects under planning will form a wave of capacity expansion with new characteristics. The Middle East refinery learned from Shanshan shares that the expansion wave after wave has aroused widespread concern in the industry

the first wave of oil refining capacity expansion in the Middle East has now ended. Since 2014, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have added more than 1.1 million barrels/day of refining capacity and have been put into operation. Among them, the satorp refinery with a processing capacity of 372000 barrels/day in Saudi Arabia was put into operation in the third quarter of 2013, and reached full capacity after a year of low performance price ratio. Another Yanbu refinery in Saudi Arabia with a design processing capacity of 372000 barrels/day was put into trial operation at the end of 2014 and began to gradually improve the processing capacity. The ruvez refinery with a design processing capacity of 388000 barrels/day in the United Arab Emirates began production at the beginning of this year, and has gradually increased its processing capacity. It is expected to reach full capacity by the end of this year

these three large refineries are designed to produce middle distillates and meet European fuel requirements. In addition to meeting the needs of the Middle East, the oil products produced by these refineries also depend on the experimental results of the selected materials, and most of them are exported
